We are customizing our smartform for PO output for the country Russia (in Russian language). This smartform is an custom object, not the standard one provided by SAP. The font we use for Russian language is HELVCYR, which supports Russian language. The output device used in the driver program is LOCL_R (LOCN).
Now when we issue output for the e-mail, PO ouput will be sent as PDF attachment. The language in which this PDF will be available is based on vendor language. So, if the the vendor language is Russian, the PDF will be in Russian language. We are getting this as expected.
In the PO output, the header will be the company name. In our case, the company name is maintained in Russian language in T001 and ADRC table. So whenever a PO is created for the Russian company code, irrespective of the vendor language ( in which PO output will be issued ), the header text will be in Russian. So, the problem is when output is issued, say for vendor (whose language is English), the header text alone will come in Russian language. We wrote a suitable logic (with correct font) in smartform to catch this Russian text, eventhough the output is going to be in English. And we are able to see the Russain header in PO form in print preview, although the message is issued in language English. But the probelm is, when this output is converted to PDF (we are using FM CONVERT_OTF) for e-mail attachment, in the place of Russian header we are getting junk characters in the PDF.
We also tried to maintain the SE63 translation for this form. But when we use translation with source language as RU and target language as EN. The error 'Object not found' is appearing. The smartform's original language is EN, can be translated to all languages is enabled.
Please help us in solving this problem.
