How to convert XML data into JSON format prior to 7.40 release

Hi Experts,

I have a requirement where I want to get the data from internal table into JSON format which is not possible prior to 7.40 EHP2 release. I can get the data into XML format. But now I have to convert that into JSON format. Please help me with this issue.
