2 Batches from ALV Grid

All,

I have a requirement wherein, we need a button on ALV Grid output. Once the user selects the records and click on that button, it should create 2 batches in the background based on Sales Group. Once the batches are complete, we need to come back to the ALV Grid screen and display the results. Is this possible? If yes..can someone help.
